LibreCAD is a free CAD editor for 2D designs
LibreCAD is a free and open-source tool that lets you make technical drawings without having to use AutoCAD or any other paid application.
You cannot make 3D designs, but you do get a wide selection of tools for creating complex 2D designs.
You can open your files in various CAD programs, as they can be saved in dxf, CXF, lff or jww formats.
The computer’s performance is not going to be hampered, as the number of resources required are low at all times. The interface requires some getting used to, while the response time is quite good.
Taking all of this into consideration, we can safely say LibreCAD is a useful tool for generating 2D CAD drawings that did not pop any kind of errors, freeze or hang in our tests.
This is an excellent choice for anyone who needs CAD software but doesn’t have the resources to pay top dollar.
